Welcome to the 11th Annual Stairclimb for Clean Air!

Welcome to Climb Times 2012 – the e-newsletter that will appear in the inboxes of registered participants of the BC Lung Association's 11th Annual Stairclimb for Clean Air  bi-monthly from now until the event!

We're excited to see all your familiar and brand new faces bright and early on February 26th, but in the meantime, this is how we'll let you know what we're up to, share some info about the cause you're supporting, and even give you tips on fundraising and training to help you get ready!

We've got some great incentive prizes lined up (for fundraising goals, climb challenges AND recruiting!), so if you need a little bit of extra motivation, check them out!

CLIMBING WITH KALEV
To help whip you into shape, fitness pro Kalev from Kalev Fitness Solutions will be providing you with information, tips and tricks that will make sure that you train effectively! Stay tuned for his videos in upcoming
And don't forget to follow Kalev on Twitter for more fitness info and tips!

FUNDRAISING
Though this event is a great fitness goal and challenge, its is first and foremost a fundraiser to support the important work the BC Lung Association does throughout the year to combat lung disease. Your fundraising minimum to participate in the event is $125 in donations – but why stop there? We've got resources that can help you find interesting and fun ways to raise money, and prizes to reward you when you exceed your initial fundraising goal! To make fundraising even easier, you will receive your very own personal webpage to make fundraising convenient for your donors! Click here to check out our fundraising tips!

LUNG LEARNING
Did you know? Your lungs breath in over 8,000 litres of air every single day to keep you alive, whereas the recommended daily intake of water is only around three litres. If you think about it that way, it's not surprising that breathing in impure air causes health problems! Thank you for helping us to support clean air initiatives!

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT
Without the continued support of the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel, the Stairclimb for Clean Air would not be possible. The Sheraton Wall Centre has graciously allowed us to use not only their 48-storey stairwell, but also their ballroom and hallways for the last 11 years! They also support us immensely on event day providing staff, food and space. When we say we couldn’t do it without them, we mean it!!

Thank you, Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel!
