The BC Wood Stove Exchange Program has been in place since 2008 to help motivate BC homeowners to swap their old wood stoves with more efficient, cleaner burning models that will significantly reduce emissions in their communities.
Funded by the B.C. government n partnership with participating BC municipal governments, the program helps homeowners in select communities by providing a rebate when a new wood-burning, pellet or natural gas stove is purchased and an older model retired.
The program is offered in communities around the province and provides funding to promote the exchange and offer incentives to replace old wood stoves. It also delivers education to help people operate their wood-burning appliances efficiently.
